Steve Clark

Steve Clark broke his back playing rugby league for Leeds-based community club Torre Road Bus Station in 1987.

His injury was never recorded by the amateur game and only a chance meeting in the car park at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Hunslet brought him to the attention of the Rugby League Benevolent Fund.

In this short video, Steve chats about the impact his accident has had on his life, and the dramatic way in which the RL Benevolent Fund has enhanced his day-to-day living.

RL Benevolent Fund General Manager Steve Ball also explains his chance meeting with Steve and why the charity has been so happy to offer its assistance.
