RFL President’s Ball

RFL President’s Ball

The RFL President’s Ball marks the start of the rugby league season, bringing together the whole of the game in aid of the RL Benevolent Fund, and is an occasion not to be missed.

This black-tie charity fundraiser, hosted each year by the current RFL President, gives guests the unique opportunity to dine with both the past and new RFL Presidents. In 2023, guests witnessed for the first time in the history of the sport the official handing over of the chains from Clare Balding CBE to the Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

For 2024, Sir Lindsay will continue his reign as President of Rugby League for a second year and host the event, which will take place on Saturday January 14 at the Queens Hotel, Leeds.

During the evening, fundraising will take place in the form of auction and silent auctions to raise money for the RL Benevolent Fund, which continues to provide much needed assistance to those who have suffered life-changing injuries in the sport.
