Annual charity bike ride

Annual charity bike ride

Our annual bike ride is your chance to cycle alongside rugby league legends, to challenge yourself, to make some amazing memories and to raise funds for Rugby League Cares.

In recent years we’ve cycled off-road from the George Hotel to Wembley Stadium, explored New York State on a six-day ride from Niagara Falls to Central Park in Manhattan, and crossed France from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean via the Pyrenees.

Our rides are designed to be challenging but enjoyable: you’ll need a basic level of fitness but if you’re looking for a Tour de France-style hammering-out-the-watts race, it’s probably not for you.

We want participants to push themselves and experience a week to remember in exciting places riding with stars of the sport: Adrian Morley, Denis Betts, Robbie Hunter-Paul, Gareth Ellis, Nathan McAvoy, Mick Cassidy, Chris Tuson and Andy Lynch have all featured in our rides.

We’re currently working on exciting plans for 2024: if you’d like to be involved, as a sponsor or a rider (or both!), please get in touch with our Events Manager Catherine Maddy – catherine.maddy@rlcares.org.uk
