Slater Heelis join le Tour de Rugby League Cares

Rugby League Cares is delighted to announce Slater Heelis as an associate sponsor of the charity’s toughest ever fundraising challenge, le Tour de Rugby League Cares.

With a long-standing relationship as a partner of RL Cares, Slater Heelis have generously agreed to support the 500-mile trans-European cycle ride from Biarritz to Perpignan.

Slater Heelis are a well-established and respected full-service law firm with offices in Sale and central Manchester. Their legal services cover all aspects of law for individuals, business and charities.

The company’s logo will feature prominently on the official le Tour de Rugby League Cares cycling jersey worn throughout the six-day adventure by the riders, who include RL Hall of Fame inductee Adrian Morley, ex-Great Britain international Nathan McAvoy, former Super League referee Thierry Alibert and Patrick Pedrazzani, the vice-president of the French RL Federation.

“We would like to thank Slater Heelis for their support of le Tour de Rugby League Cares, which underlines their commitment to the work of the charity,” said RL Cares Partnership Manager Nav Uppal.

“It’s great to welcome another company with the standing and reputation of Slater Heelis to our portfolio of sponsors for this amazing event, which is our most ambitious fundraising initiative.”

Slater Heelis Managing Director Chris Bishop said: “Slater Heelis are pleased to continue our long-standing support for Rugby League Cares through our association with this amazing event.

“We are thrilled to help RL Cares raise the funds it needs to continue its important support for some of the most vulnerable people in rugby league communities.

“We would like to wish all the brave riders who are taking on the challenge of le Tour de Rugby League Cares the very best of luck and urge rugby league fans everywhere to sponsor a rider and help the charity make a difference.”

Le Tour de Rugby League Cares takes place over six days from Sunday June 11 when 17 riders will set out from Biarritz on France’s rugged Atlantic coast following a testing and at times gruelling route across the continent to the Mediterranean beach at Canet-en-Roussillon near Perpignan.

Along the way, the riders will visit town and cities with a strong rugby league heritage and cement links between the two nations.

All funds raised on le Tour de Rugby League Cares will help the charity continue making a positive difference to the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds in the communities where the sport is played.
