Mattioli Woods supporting le Tour de Rugby League Cares

Rugby League Cares is pleased to welcome on board its long-standing partners Mattioli Woods as an associate sponsor of the charity’s toughest-ever fundraising event, le Tour de Rugby League Cares.

Mattioli Woods will feature prominently on the cycling jerseys worn by the 17 riders who are taking on the challenge of riding 500 miles in six days from France’s Atlantic coast at Biarritz to the Mediterranean beaches near Perpignan in June.

The link strengthens the partnership between RL Cares and Mattioli Woods, one of the UK’s leading providers of pension consultancy and wealth management services which has been providing expert advice to professional and semi-professional players for the last five years.

Nav Uppal, the Partnerships Manager at RL Cares, said: “We are delighted to have the support of Mattioli Woods for what is our most important fundraising activity of 2023.

“Mattioli Woods’s expertise and commitment to our playing community is well established and their involvement in le Tour de Rugby League Cares is recognition of the importance of our work delivering welfare services to the sport’s most important stakeholders.”Mattioli Woods spokesman Adrian Firth said: “Mattioli Woods is really pleased to continue our longstanding support for Rugby League Cares through our association with this amazing event.

“We are thrilled to help RL Cares raise the funds it needs to continue its important support for some of the most vulnerable people in rugby league communities.”

“We would like to wish all the brave riders who are taking on the challenge of le Tour de Rugby League Cares the very best of luck and urge rugby league fans everywhere to sponsor a rider”.

Le Tour de Rugby League Cares begins in Biarritz on Sunday June 11 when 17 riders, including RL Hall of Fame inductee Adrian Morley and ex-Great Britain international Nathan McAvoy, head east on a gruelling trans-European adventure.

Over the next six days the riders will pass through towns and cities with a rich rugby league heritage en route to the finish line at Canet-en-Rousillon.

All the funds raised on le Tour de Rugby League Cares enable the charity to continue its work making a positive difference to the lives of people of all ages in communities were rugby league is played.
