All Sport Insurance sponsor the Ride to Wembley

All Sport Insurance have strengthened their support for Rugby League Cares by becoming an associate sponsor of the charity’s biggest fundraiser, the 2019 UK Red Ride to Wembley.

The specialist insurance brokers have already saved Rugby League players tens of thousands of pounds since becoming a founder member of the RL Cares Business Club in 2017.

Earlier this summer, All Sport agreed a three-year extension to their partnership with RL Cares and are committed to making a real difference to the lives of the sport’s playing community.

Amy Derham, the Relationship Manager for All Sport Insurance, has completed the last two Rides to Wembley and is getting back in the saddle again next month to complete a long-distance hat-trick.

Chris Rostron, the Head of RL Cares, said: “All Sport have been fantastic partners of the charity and we are delighted to welcome them as an associate sponsor of the 2019 UK Red Ride to Wembley.

“Hundreds of players have already taken advantage of All Sport’s expertise and made some amazing savings and we’re sure more players will continue to benefit when their policies are due for renewal.

“Amy has been an integral part of the RL Cares peloton for the last couple of years and it’s going to be great to share her company for another week.”

Amy Derham said: “Like RL Cares, sports professionals are at the heart of everything we do and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to help Rugby League players through our sponsorship of the Ride to Wembley.

“The ride was an incredibly tough challenge in 2017 and 2018 and I understand this year’s ride will be the toughest yet. I must be mad but I’m really looking forward to it!”

The Ride to Wembley is an off-road cycling challenge that leaves the George Hotel, Huddersfield – the historic birthplace of Rugby League – on the morning of Monday August 19.

Over the next five days, 23 riders will cover 340 miles along bridleways, canal towpaths, green lanes and forest trails, climbing more than 18,000ft before arriving at Wembley Stadium on Friday August 23, the eve of the 2019 Coral Challenge Cup final.

The ride peloton features former RL internationals from both the men’s and women’s game, including Keith Senior, Andrea Dobson, Robbie Hunter-Paul, Kirsty Moroney, Nathan McAvoy, Beth Sutcliffe and Denis Betts.
