The 23 riders taking part in the 340-mile off-road cycling challenge from Huddersfield to Wembley Stadium will be fuelled by MSC to ensure optimum performance.
Chris Rostron, the Head of RL Cares, said: “MSC Nutrition are world leaders in the field of sports supplements and we are hugely appreciative of their support for our biggest fundraiser of the year, the 2019 UK Red Ride to Wembley.
“The riders use an incredible amount of energy through the week and with MSC’s expertise the scale of the challenge they face becomes a lot more bearable.”
MSC Nutrition Director Nicky Edmonds said: “We are delighted to support Rugby League Cares again this year. Along with the food provided, and with the addition of MSC supplements, this will ensure all the riders have a well-balanced diet.
“All the team at MSC Nutrition would like to wish the riders the very best of luck on the Ride to Wembley.”
The 2019 UK Red Ride to Wembley leaves the George Hotel, Huddersfield – the historic birthplace of Rugby League – on Monday August 19 bound for the 2019 Coral Challenge Cup final.
Over the next five days the riders, who include former Rugby League internationals Denis Betts, Beth Sutcliffe, Keith Senior, Andrea Dobson, Robbie-Hunter-Paul, Kirsty Moroney and Nathan McAvoy, will avoid tarmac wherever possible on a tortuous route that follows gravel paths, bridleways, canal towpaths, forest trails and green lanes.
All the proceeds from the Ride to Wembley will enable RL Cares to continue its important work enhancing the lives of people at every level of the sport.
