The family of Jansin Turgut have issued a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to the Rugby League family for their incredible generosity following his tragic accident in Spain earlier this week.
The 23-year-old former England Academy player is currently in a critical condition in intensive care in Ibiza after suffering serious head injuries in a fall from the third floor of a car park on Monday.
A Paypal fundraising account set up earlier today (Tuesday) to help meet hospital fees and other medical costs has already raised over £8,000.
“Jansin’s mum, Carole, myself and the whole family are simply overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers: this wouldn’t happen in any other sport and we would like to thank everyone for their donations and support,” said Jansin’s stepfather, Alan.
