Brigid Power answers your questions on National Sporting Heritage Day

Wednesday September 30 is National Sporting Heritage Day 2020 and we couldn’t be more excited in an important week for Rugby League.

In the next few days contractors will begin the laborious process of transforming the George Hotel in Huddersfield to a state where we can establish the long-awaited National Museum of Rugby League on the site.

The George holds a special place in the hearts of Rugby League fans around the world and a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes in recent months to turn our dream of opening a facility the whole sport can be proud of into reality.

We know many people will have lots of questions about our plans for the museum, so on Wednesday between 11am and 12pm our Heritage Manager Brigid Power will be on hand to answer any queries you may have.

The questions and answers will be shared on our Twitter and Facebook pages and we’ll be rounding up all the activity with a post on our website later in the day.

If you have a question about the National Museum of Rugby League project, or any heritage subject, that you’d like answering on National Sporting Heritage Day 2020, please email brigid.power@rlcares.org.uk or direct message us on Twitter or Facebook.
