Ploughing a steady furrow on the Ride to Wembley

Day 2 of the UK Red Ride to Wembley was a blast today - a very long blast at 68 miles which tested all 13 riders to the absolute limit!

From crossing ploughed fields and negotiating paths overgrown with brambles and nettles, to massive hauls through forests and along canal towpaths, the day was one to remember and spirits remain high as we face another 60-plus mile slog on Wednesday.

Today was the last day for Chev Walker, the former Great Britain and Leeds centre who has to return to West Yorkshire because of work commitments, but we're joined on the last three days by two new riders, Alex Simmons and Jimmy Bray from Rugby AM.

The 320-mile journey is a massive challenge for all the riders, who are cycling 320 miles from Headingley to Wembley Stadium to raise funds for Rugby League Cares.

You can follow our progress today by watching this terrific video.

We are very close to reaching our total of raising £10,000 - please support all the riders on the Ride to Wembley by

donating to Rugby League Cares via or sponsoring any of the riders involved
