Our biggest fundraiser of 2019, the UK Red Ride to Wembley, sets out from the sport’s historic birthplace, the George Hotel in Huddersfield, on Monday August 19 bound for the Challenge Cup final.
Over the next five days, 23 hardy riders, including two Lance Todd Trophy winners, will cycle through the heart of England on an epic journey, avoiding tarmac wherever possible to cross the Pennines, the Peak District, the Cotswolds and the Chilterns via forest trails, canal towpaths and green lanes.
Last year’s ride raised £30,000 for the charity: our goal this year is to raise in excess of £50,000, and to do that we need your support.
Every pound we raise helps us make a positive difference to people involved at every level of the sport, from its heroes, the players, through to the men involved in our health projects and the youngsters at grassroots level.
You can sponsor any of the riders individually, or simply the ride itself, via our bespoke team Justgiving page: it’s easy, cost effective and if you agree to Gift Aid, the tax man adds on 20 per cent of your donation at no extra cost to you.
Please give what you can: our Justgiving team page is here.
