The whole Rugby League family is invited to attend a celebration of the life of John Atkinson that will be held in the Headingley Pavilion on Friday January 19 from 1.45pm.
John, the former Leeds and Great Britain winger, passed away last month after long illness. He was 67.
At the request of John’s family members, this will be a very informal occasion with a few words from his wife Carol and others who were close to John. a buffet tea will be served.
Car parking will be available in the Stadium car park.
A family funeral service will take place at St Chad’s Church, Otley Road, Headingley earlier in the day: with capacity limited at the church, the service is for the family and John’s friends only.
